Americans continue to be attacked through the food we eat. Monsanto, like polluting the water, is contaminating our foods not only through the Round-Up poison they have farmers, large and small, spreading over their crops, but also through their Genetically Modified Foods (GMO) infested foods. It might well be noted that many foreign countries have implemented laws that prohibit GMO foods to even enter their countries which ours has laws that not only permit it, but encourage it. They not only lobby, and subsidize legislators, but have implanted an ex-executive to be a senior advisor to the Commissioner of the FDA.

Our food supply is not threatened by terrorists from outside our borders, but from within. Politicians are the terrorists!

870 million people are hungry today. At the same time, 1.3 billion tons of food or about one third of global food production is lost or wasted annually.

 These two facts frame the discussion on food security, which exists when all people, at all times, have access to sufficient and affordable food that meets their needs for an active and healthy life.

 According to United Nations projections, global agricultural production must increase by 60% to feed the world’s population, which will reach 9 billion by 2050. Already today, soaring food prices, climate change, water scarcity, energy shortages and a lack of infrastructure endanger our highly vulnerable global food system. In terms of food waste, in low-income countries most loss occurs during production, while in developed countries a lot of food – about 100 kilograms per person and year – is wasted at the consumption stage.
